June Volunteers of the Month

Meet Chris her teenage son is Nate! They volunteer for cat care at the shelter and as fosters to Moonpie (mother cat) and her babies.

“What I like best about fostering: Knowing that I am helping our local shelter as well as the sweet cats and kittens that otherwise might not have a chance. I have always loved animals and have volunteered at many organizations over the years, walking dogs, riding old work horses, cleaning stalls…. And I have always had many pets from cats and dogs to goats, horses and alpacas. They bring such joy especially when you get to know each one’s personality, their likes and dislikes. They say it’s a blessing for the animals to be loved, but I think we as humans get the bigger blessing!”

Thank you for fostering those adorable kittens!
