Seven year old Great Pyrenees therapy dog APPA in the snow
We would like to introduce everyone to the Therapy Dogs that work with Suffolk Humane Society in and around our community. All of our dogs are Certified with Alliance of Therapy Dogs, sharing smiles and joy.
APPA is a seven year old Great Pyrenees. Pyrenees are a guardian breed of dog that protects your Livestock or your home. APPA is a gentle giant. He holds many AKC titles CGC, CGCA, CGCU, FARM DOG, and TRICK DOG.
APPA has been a Therapy Dog just over six years now. He is also a volunteer with the American Red Cross and Sentara Obici Hospital. APPA has a sixth sense of knowing when someone needs extra love. He will all of a sudden start to smile and start searching for that person. APPA is my sweet angel sent from heaven! He just loves everyone he meets. There are no strangers in his world! After his volunteering is done his favorite thing to do is a treat and a nap.
This is just one of many dogs that service Suffolk and surrounding areas. Next up is Piper the Labrador Retriever!
