Suffolk Humane and Suffolk Animal Care Center Host Winter Warm Furries Adopt-a-thons

Suffolk, Virginia-January 16, 2018 – Suffolk Humane and Suffolk Animal Care are sponsoring several adopt-a-thons to give people a chance to find that perfect warm furry best friend to cuddle with during the cold weather. Whether their ideal warm furry purrs or wags a tail, one is sure to be found at one of the six scheduled events this winter.

The dates are January 20th, February 3rd and March 17th at the PetSmart Charities Adoption Center at the Chesapeake Square PetSmart store, 4300 Portsmouth Blvd., Chesapeake, VA 23321 and January 21st, February 4th and March 18th at the PetSmart Charities Adoption Center at the North Suffolk PetSmart, 6243 College Dr., Suffolk 23435. All events are from 12 noon to 3 pm.

“There is nothing better than having a friendly face waiting to greet you at the door and cuddle with you during these cold months,” said Lee Murphy, adoptions and foster coordinator for Suffolk Humane. “We have so many wonderful pets just waiting to give you their unconditional love. We hope these adopt-a-thons mean that more may have a chance to find a forever home”.
