Suffolk Humane Society’s
Fourth Annual Paws for the Arts Gala
Coming Saturday, February 4th

It’s a Suffolk Humane Society (SHS) event with something for every animal and art enthusiast. The fourth annual Paws for the Arts Gala will be held Saturday, February 4, from 6:30 – 10 p.m., at the Suffolk Riverfront Hilton Garden Inn.

The Gala will feature the work of local artists, live and silent auctions and live entertainment, as well as a cash / wine bar and heavy hors d’oeuvres.

The Arts Gala is one of SHS’s largest yearly fundraising events and supports its work to foster a compassionate, educated community of responsible guardians for companion animals, and speak for those who cannot help or speak for themselves.

“We rely on the generous support of the Suffolk community to fund our mission, ongoing operations and programs,” said Rhonda Jones, Vice President of SHS and Director of Events.  “We do not receive any government subsidies, nor are we affiliated with any other organization.”

The Gala offers sponsorship, advertising / promotional and donor opportunities for businesses and individuals. SHS goals this year are to grow attendance, expand pet angel challenge donations, add more top-level sponsors, and increase the number of art or art-related silent and live auction items.

Businesses and individuals interested in more information about sponsorship / donation opportunities should call SHS at (757) 538.3030 or email events@SuffolkHumaneSociety.com. Tickets are $50 and may be purchased online through the website, at Mike Duman Auto Sales in Suffolk, and at the SHS office, 4300 Nansemond Parkway, in the village of Driver.

The Suffolk Humane Society is dedicated to promoting the welfare of companion animals in the community by sponsoring spay/neuter programs, placing homeless animals in loving permanent homes, and providing quality humane education with an emphasis on responsible pet ownership.
